Stizostedian Vitreum Hunt FCC Style

8 men with myself from First Covenant Church in Willmar spent 5 days in Minaki Ontario Canada fishing. The weather was wet windy and cold but the fishing was HOT!We stayed at Sand Lake Outpost. Some outpost! We had all the comforts of home and even more! What a beautiful place to stay! Thanks Rob!
Left to right: Chuck Gustafson, Tom Sand, Rick Gunderson, Oscar Overcash, Wally Westrom, Ken Biegert, Paul Westberg and Doug Reese -- Oh -- Can't forget Cooper
The first night was gorgeous. Warm, Dry and Calm. The rest of the days were wet, windy and cool.

Moose Shed!

ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS TO DO IS TO CATCH BIG WALLEYES - ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CAN DO IT WITH A SIMPLE VERTICLE PRESENTATION AND YOU SET THE HOOK ON A GIANT BOTTOM-HUGGING WALLEYE DIRECTLY UNDER THE BOAT!
Hah! Did I have fun!

Like I said I had fun!

I really had fun!
OK I know what you are thinking - but Believe me - They are all different fish!
Wow! Did I ever have fun!
We caught many fish and most of them were over 20" fish!
At one time I caught 6 walleyes over 25" in ONE HOUR!!!

You can almost smell and taste it.
Prepared in my dad's old skillet. That even makes it better!

Chow time!

Gooooooood eatin!

The one and only calm day.
Sittin, fishin on Trappers Point on Big Sand Lake.
I Love it!
It rained hard but we stayed warm and dry inside the boat with the full cover over us.

GOD'S CREATION IS SO BEAUTIFUL - YOU LOOK AT ALL OF THE ROCK AND THINK THAT THIS IS THE RESULT OF A MASSIVE VOLCANIC MOUNTAIN BACK BEFORE LIFE EVEN EXISTED ON EARTH!
